Denver Cherry Creek Rotary Foundation

During the 2015-16 Rotary year, we will distribute up to $25,000 in funding. We have approved and given grants to:
- Kids in Need Dentistry (KIND)
- Nepal Women's Project
- Dream Makers Colorado
- Women's Homeless Initiative (WHI)

Our annual dental mission team went to Nicaragua in October 2014 and saw 400 patients. Our team which spans multiple Rotary clubs for its participants has done more than 20 missions. Click here to see a news story done on the mission in Nicaragua.

Our club has 3 dentists who help make our annual dental mission happen: Dr. Scott Johnson, Dr. Sarah Werner and Dr. Bill Bissell. They bring Rotarians, hygienists and more people from other Rotary clubs together to service hundreds of children for a five day span in the designated country.

One of our projects, Operation Warm, was brought to us by our member, Rosemary. She was involved with this organization back in Pennsylvania and now DCCR is an active sponsor. This is a great aspect about our club in that members can bring their projects about which they're passionate and we do our best to get behind it.

DCCR is major sponsor of Operation Warm in Denver

DCCR Foundation sponsors the Adelante Foundation which was written up in The Rotarian as part of a micro-lending article. DCCRF has been a long-time supporter of this very worthwhile cause.

Rotarians Provide hands-on and financial help to their local community. Local Rotary clubs join other Rotary clubs around the world for service projects. On average, we grant over $20,000 annually to different organizations and projects.
